Our Touring Trophy Tournament this year will be won at the Kalbarri Golf Club.  We tried last year, but due to the totally unexpected and major cyclone that went through the town we didn't get here. The game will be on the Saturday 25th June, mid morning tee-off, a beer or two after the game and then a sold-out-event dinner in the evening. With the amount of local travel at the moment, we suggest that you book accommodation in Kalbarri sooner rather than later, as a lot of potential accommodation is still not available as a result of last year's cyclone. A number of players have booked at the Kalbarri Tudor Holiday Park which is close to the centre of town. The venue offers a range of types of accommodation including brick one and two bedroom units, cabins of various configurations, motel units etc, even camping if you so desire. The venue for the Saturday night dinner is Angies café, where we have sole use of the venue, we had a similar function there last year and they did fantastic catering. It’s a BYO, so bring along what you want to drink. This year the club will be picking up the cost of members meals with non members paying $35/head. Angies is within walking distance of the Kalbarri Tudor Holiday Park, as are the two pubs, where some may want to do dinner on Friday evening. Sun City is another group favourite and only 45 minutes north of the city. $45 to walk and $50 for a cart it is well worth the visit for a true test of golf. We have 28 places booked with tee-off at 7:15 with the weather hopefully making it a great day out. The last of the Spring Eclectic and the last opportunity to win a trophy before Christmas. We haven't played at Joondalup for over two years and it is time to get back there for the exquisite challenge that the Lakes Course and the Quarry Course present to every golfer!!!!  If you are looking at this shot on Quarry 4 it is at least your third and it is about 120-150m over a bunker ending at a 3 metre high cliff face in front of the green (see the flag at the top?) .... and this is one of the easy ones ... not. A bit pricey this year at $119 including a mandatory cart but certainly one of the best courses in WA, and the middle round of the Spring Eclectic. Who would have thought that 6 blokes getting together for a casual game of golf in 1995 would have ended up with the Palle Maille Golf Club being formed in September 1996 and then turning 25 with 59 players on our mailing list and over 175 Members at one time or another over the period. But happen it did, and it is time to celebrate!
