20200627 Albany [Touring Trophy]

Hi fellow Palle Maille-ites,

Covid-19 has been a big shakeup to our ability to travel and play golf.  The committee has been waiting to see if the government was removing travel restrictions to the north but in the end had to make a change - so our away game this year has been moved from Geraldton to the Albany Golf Course on the beautiful south coast.

Our game will be part of the Albany club competition on SATURDAY 27 June (time TBA)

Cost will be about $40 (book carts directly with the club pro on 98448433) as part of the Palle Maille booking. We need to confirm numbers of players two weeks before the game so please confirm ASAP, but definitely before 11 June.

We will be having pre-dinner canapes and drinks from about 5:30 pm at the Motel Le Grande followed by dinner and presentation of the Touring Trophy, so this is probably the best place to stay as well.  Ivan has confirmed availability for us and details are attached.  Dinner and drinks will be $25 for members and $75 for visitors and the balance will be subsidised by the club.  Please book your own accommodation but let us know via the link below how many will be playing and how many will be dining.

A number of people will be travelling down Friday and coming back Sunday or Monday, so options abound to check out the town, the wineries and the whaling station, etc. etc.
